Pathologically deformed specimens

Finding paleontological examples of pathologies preserved in the fossil record is extremely rare. This factor makes this tooth much more valuable for collectors.

The pathological deformations in this species and in this place are well known. Still to this day there has been no study to analyze the possible causes of the abundant pathologies suffered by this species in the dentition during the Paleocene. Examples as good as this one, are extremely rare to find, and of course they are advised for advanced collectors and experts.
