Description

Impressive specimen, prepared in an exceptional way. This trilobite with his forked trident has been prepared as free-standing along with tens of spines. This type of preparation requires meticulous work of tens of hours. Of course, many of the spines during the preparation process have been fractured and glued again, with slight restorations in the fracture zones. A preparation like this without small restorations is impossible. It is an authentic specimen of Museum Grade.

This species of trilobite is very rare, with an almost extraterrestrial aspect. The trident shaped appendage has been considered in functional morphology as a sensitive functionality to find food between the seabed substrate. The eyes facets of this specimen are amazingly well detailed.
